Responsive themes and Google SEO algorithm changes
Never has it been more important to have a responsive website.
What does this mean?
A responsive website adapts the visual interface on whatever device the website is being viewed on.
In simple terms, your website will automatically adapt and look great on varying screen sizes of PC’s, tablets and mobile devices.
We only produce fully responsive sites.
There is now an even more important reason to migrate to a responsive website if you haven’t already done so.
Google, those controllers of all things search related, are about to amend their search algorithm by boosting websites that are mobile friendly. And there’s a surprisingly large amount of websites that are not, 40% of the top 25,000 websites to be precise (according to Business2Community).
The change goes live on 21st April 2015.
Google say “this change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact on our search results. Consequently users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimised for their devices’.
If it doesn’t pass the test, then it needs some work.
